Russell, 86, of 325 W. Main who during a career of 70 years as a professional magician entertained audiences in the United States and Canada, died Monday in St. Jerome Hospital here. He had been a patient since Nov. 15.

Mr. Russell, born in Batavia, began his stage career before the turn of the century, He toured with his act knows as Russell's Magic Circus for many years and continued stage performances until illness forced his retirement in 1963. Mr. Russell was also noted as an inventor and designer of equipment for magicians and designed props for such famous personalities as Houdini, Blackstone and Howard Thurston. He was a life member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, which in 1934 honored him by staging their international convention in his home city here with some of the most famous performers of the time giving performances.

He was a past president of the Magicians Alliance of Western New York, a member and past grand knight of the Batavia Council, Knights of Columbus, and a member of the St. Mary's Church Holy Name Society. Survivors are a brother, Edward L. of Buffalo; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward F.

Russell of his A Requiem Mass will be offered at 11 tomorrow morning in Christ the King Church, Amherst, for Daniel M. O'Donnell, 66, a' former real estate salesman and city employe. Mr. O'Donnell died Sunday (Dec. 4, 1966) in Hollywood, where he had moved in 1960 when he retired from the real estate business.

He was secretary to the falo, Streets under Division the late from Mayor 1938 Holling; an unsuccessful candidate for State Senate in 1936, a University District Democratic committeeman and member of the Erie County Democratic Club. Mr. O'Donnell founded Good Housekeeping Insulation Roofing Co. in the mid-1940s and sole owner for 10 years, operating at a Main St. address and in Niagara Falls.

He was associated with Harold Halleck in the real estate business for five years, and worked as a supervisor in the old Bell Aircraft plant during World War II. He was a baseball and football player at Lafayette High School, a lifeguard at the old Ft. Erie Beach, and a former member of the West Side Rowing Club. A Navy veteran of World War he was a member of South Buffalo Post 721, American Legion. Survivors are his wife, the former Mildred McInroy; a daughter, Mrs.

Arthur Edmunds of Williamsville; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Leroy of Lancaster, and three grandchildren. 5, 1966) in his home. A World War I stable sergeant, he was born in Oneida, and moved to East Aurora in 1919 where he became a dairy farmer. In 1932 he began his retail milk business and retired in May 1965. He also had raised registered Holstein cattle. He was a charter member of East Aurora Post 362, Amer ican was for 26 years Legionary of the Hee Dairy Herd Improvement Association.

He was first secretary-treasurer of the Artificial Breeders Association. Surviving are a sister, Miss Laura Fleishman; a son, Kent two daughters, Mrs. Mary Gene Gleed and Mrs. John Condon of Beirut, Lebanon, and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, East Aurora. Hazel M. Starr Hazel M. Starr, 82, of 440 Bird a teacher the Buffalo public school for 150 years, died Monday (Dec. 5, 1966) in her home.

Miss Starr was born in Jonesville, and came to Buffalo when she was 15 years old. She was a 1904 graduate of the old Buffalo State Normal School. She received her BS degree from the University of Buffalo in 1929. She also took graduate courses at the University of Michigan and Cornell University. From 1904 to 1914 she taught in School 9.

She joined the faculty at Masten Par': High School in 1914 and taught English and was study room teacher until the school closed in 1953. She taught one year at East High School before retiring in 1954. Miss Starr was a member of the Delaware Ave. Baptist Church and helped found, taught and was past president of the church's Loyalty Class. She was a charter member and past president of the Buffalo Chapter of the World Wide Guild, a businesswomen's club.

SUSPECT FACES 2 NEW CHARGES With third-degree burglary and petit larceny charges pending a hearing Dec. Allan Smith, 20, of 400 Elm was arraigned Monday before City Judge William J. Ostrowski on new charges of third-degree burglary and first-degree grand larceny. The new charges were brought when he was arrested Friday driving a a a a a a a car that had been stolen in a burglary at Bailey Dodge Motors, 1253 Main earlier that day. He pleaded innocent and Judge Ostrowski ordered him held for hearing Dec 21.
